There is an old saying that states that knowledge is power. And though there is truth to that statement it needs to be elaborated upon by saying that knowledge is power but without a precise action plan to utilize the knowledge you acquire it is quite useless.
With that being said how important do you find your personal growth and training in your specific career field? If your desire isn’t extremely high then you are apparently not that serious about your career. That fact of the matter is this, EVERY industry especially the automotive industry is in a constant evolution and if you are not evolving with it you are in a constant state of transgression. Not only is it counterproductive but it is also counter intuitive.
Every human has a desire for the attainment of knowledge and it is your job to provide the proper fuel to feed that fire. When it comes to the automotive industry you have millions of dollars’ worth of free knowledge to help you grow in your career from many different sources. Also AutoSuccessOnline.com which is an industry leading magazine with some of the most brilliant minds providing you with insight on the most cutting edge topics in the industry. If you are serious about your career you will study it like you are getting a master’s degree in medicine or law.
Now that you have an understanding of The Importance of Training, I would like to touch on the topic of action. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said it best in these words, knowledge is NOT enough, we must apply, willing is not enough we must DO! Your actions will drive your profits, either into the ground or into the clouds sky high. If you sit around the dealership all day playing on your phone or gossiping with your coworkers that is not really conducive for business. Now if every free second you have you are calling customers, sending emails, filming and loading conquest videos, walk a round’s, technology how to videos and TRAINING you are taking the right actions that will reward you. You need to have an action plan to implement day in and day out to achieve real results.
